The ongoing upgrade of the seat cushions in BART’s current fleet has continued this year. There have been two additional 100 car orders placed, using MRF 400 foam in the back cushions. MCI was awarded a contract to replace alluminum honeycomb floors in 550 LUL carriages for the Picadilly line. Devlveries will start in February of 2013. this is the first installation of composite floors in LUL carriages.

GO Transit has started a large car refurbshment program with CAD. The soft goods supplier is Avianor, based in Montreal. Avianor, in a joint development effort with the Rogers Corp., developed an ergonomic seat cushion design using MF1 silicone foam.
