Straight Booth Seats
This method simplifies installation of Dymetrol® by eliminating stretching tools and expediting the manufacturing process. It involves stapling a pre-cut panel of Dymetrol® to the outer edges of two frames and then using the frames themselves, wedged against each other to produce the required stretch. Staple inner edges, cut apart and pull the Dymetrol® snug over the sides and staple in place.
The width of the Dymetrol® (monofilament length) is determined as follows:
- Measure distance “D”
- Multiply “D” x 1.9 = Width of Dymetrol® (monofilament length minus 5% – two frames per installation)
- Be certain black monofilament is installed so it places seat joints in compression and is on the underside of the deck. Monofilaments are to be oriented front to back in most booth seating applications.
Prior to installation, break all sharp edges where the Dymetrol® will come into contact with the frame. Use recommended staple and staple pattern. Refer to Bulletin No. 1 (H-04610) H-16773

To create Dymetrol® panel “A” and “B” measure distance “W-1″ (monofilament length) adding an additional 4”.
Step 2
Measure distance “L-1”.
Step 3
To create Dymetrol® panel “C” measure distance “W-2” (monofilament length)
Step 4
Measure distance “L-2”

Step 1
Position panel “A” as indicated.
Step 2
Staple along inside rail.
Refer to Bulletin No. 1 for recommended attachment procedures.
Step 3
Stretch toward the outside rail accordingly:
Area “S-1” – full 5% stretch.
Area “S-2” – 3% stretch.
Area “S-3” – pull hand tight.
Step 4
Repeat Steps 1-3 for panel “B”.

Creating a Crown Using Dymetrol®
Certain types of booth seating rerquire a crown. Although Dymetrol® creates a flat deck surface, it is possible to obtain a crown without resorting to fabricated foam.
Dimensions and thickinesses of the cushion determine the shape of the crown when upholstry fabric is pulled tight.
