Royersford again was at the 2012 Aviation Interiors Exhibition in support of the APOS, the European distributor of Acme Mills for the sales of Dymetrol in the European aviation seating market. This was again an opportunity to meet with key customers and to meet new ones. Recaro introduced their new lie-flat seats using Dymetrol at the exhibition. Virtually all seating manufacturers exhibited seats using Dymetrol suspensions.

There was tremendous interest in MCI composite floors as well as driver’s seats from Seats Incorporated. The IVT stand was supported by our membership in UKTI. This organization helps support the marketing efforts of small to mid sized companies in the midlands of England. During the three days we held meetings with potential customers as well as Government officials and consultants to the industry. The day before the exhibition we were given a tour of one of the Istanbul Rail maintenance depots.

The Royersford Spring Company recently completed a successful week at the APTA Expo in New Orleans, LA. In addition to its own stand, Royersford supported the Rogers Corp stand that featured MF1 Silicone Foam. The Royersford stand featured a new seat design that offered Entransit suspensions, MF1 silicone seat cushions and MFF 400 melamine foam back cushions

ISO 9001:2000 Renewal

BART San Francisco specifies Rogers Corp. Melamine Foam

BART San Francisco releases a new seat foam specification for Rogers Corp Melamine Foam. This foam will reduce the weight of each car by 500 pounds. This specification will apply to all 700 current cars in the fleet in addition to the new cars that will be built starting in 2015.

Rogers Corporation to supply Chicago METRA seat components

Rogers Corporation MF1 Silicone Foam has been awarded the seat spring assemblies for the next 160 METRA Bi-level cars for Chicago. The cars will be built by Nippon Sharyo and the seats will be supplied by Kustom Seating Unlimited Ltd. Mass Production will start in the third quarter of 2012.
